At Elviane Studio, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, on what legal basis, who we share it with, and what your rights are.

Data we collect

  • Order data: name, delivery and billing address, e-mail address, telephone number
  • Payment data: processed directly by our payment provider; we do not store any credit card numbers
  • Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, via cookies
  • Contact data: the content of your e-mails and the forms you fill out
  • Marketing data: your e-mail address if you sign up for our newsletter

Why we use your data and on what legal basis

  • Contractual necessity: to process and deliver your order, manage returns and refunds, and inform you of your package's progress
  • Legal obligation: to keep the accounting records required by law
  • Legitimate interest: to secure our shop, prevent fraud, and improve our services
  • Consent: measurement and marketing cookies, and sending our newsletter. You may withdraw your consent at any time

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share it with service providers necessary for our business operations: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), our payment provider, our logistics and package tracking partners, our e-mailing tool, and our audience measurement and advertising tools.

These service providers act only on our instructions. We may also disclose your data when required by law, to respond to a request from a competent authority, or to exercise our rights.

International transfers

We are based in the European Union and some of our service providers, including our logistics partners, are located in other countries. When your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (and the UK addendum where relevant).

Retention period

Order data is kept for the statutory accounting retention period (7 years in the Netherlands). Prospecting data is kept for 3 years after your last contact with us. Cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you have the following rights over your personal data (under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the Canadian PIPEDA, the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and applicable US state privacy laws):

Exercising these rights is free of charge. Write to us at support@elvianestudio.fr: we respond within one month. We may ask you for proof of identity to ensure that the request is indeed from you.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may complain to the data protection authority of your country: the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom (ico.org.uk), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand (privacy.org.nz), or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), our lead authority.

We use cookies to make the shop function and, with your consent, to measure audience and adapt our advertising. No non-essential cookies are placed before your consent, and no boxes are pre-checked. Details can be found in our cookie policy.

E-mails

We send you e-mails related to your order (confirmation, shipment, delivery). If you have signed up for our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of each message.

Security

Our site uses an encrypted SSL connection. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, although we cannot guarantee absolute security for Internet transmissions.

Transfer in the event of business change

In the event of a sale or restructuring of our business, your data could be transferred to the acquiring entity, in compliance with this policy.
